History

Seabanc Insurance Brokers Pte Ltd, was incorporated in 1981 as a subsidiary of United Motor Works Pte Ltd (“UMW”) which commenced business in 1917 by Chia Yee Soh – one of the early entrepreneurial pioneers of Singapore. Our company’s original purpose was to service the insurance needs of various companies within the UMW Group.

Overtime, with acquired expertise, we diversified and began servicing third party clients. As an insurance broker acting for numerous clients with diverse needs, we very quickly established business relationships with major insurance companies. Today, we continue to deal with most of these major insurance companies.

Although we are no longer part of UMW, the common history and ethos are still deeply rooted in our company. Through the years, our business has been built on forging long term relationships based on mutual trust and confidence.

We are a direct insurance broker registered with the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Our business is to identify, analyse and advise on risk management and insurance products through our services as an insurance intermediary.
